Creating the viral nostalgic stylized AI videos

The clips that stop the scroll look like a neighbor's old home video: an ordinary place, a cheap camera, and one thing that should not be there, treated as if it were normal. Here is how three NOLGIA projects in that style were made, shot by shot, with every prompt as it was sent, the drafts that missed and what changed between them.

What you make, in order. Tap one to jump to its step.

This guide follows three real projects made for NOLGIA in the same style. House animals is five 4 second Seedance 2.5 clips of animals that do not belong in ordinary American suburbs, cut into 18 seconds. Shoot out is six 4 second clips of underground crime-film moments, cut into 19.5 seconds over a Lyria 3.5 score. NOLGIA prompting is a late-1990s hip-hop music-video world shot by shot: a detail, a car, a low angle, a drone, and two hosts made from character sheets. It is the project behind the video that offers this guide. Every prompt below is quoted as it was sent; the only change is that long dashes are typed as hyphens. Everyone in the clips was generated with NOLGIA.

The style borrows from old home video: a cheap camera, an ordinary afternoon or a late night, a person behind the lens who reacts. The nostalgia comes from the camera and the place; the hook is the one thing in the frame that should not be there, and how calmly everyone takes it.

Why these clips stop the scroll

The finished House animals video: a black panther walks behind a grandmother reading by her pool, she pets a panther beside her lawn chair, a grandmother fires at bats over a birthday cake, two crocodiles swim past a boy in a backyard pool, and a hyena on a leash pushes its snout into the lens before the NOLGIA mark appears
House animals, 18 seconds: five clips, with the NOLGIA mark over the last two seconds.
The finished Shoot out video: a man walks away from a warehouse explosion, a helicopter skims an old man's house, a man in a record store, an old man in gold chains, a man firing from a kitchen, a man kicking a car door outside a store at night, and a man in an elevator before the NOLGIA mark appears on the closed doors
Shoot out, 19.5 seconds: seven shots over a Lyria 3.5 score.

Every clip runs on the same engine: something completely unusual inside an ordinary, believable world, and people who either treat it as normal or react the way a real person would. Everything around the joke is plain on purpose, so the one strange thing does all the work.

SceneThe ordinary worldThe one strange thingHow people reactWhat the camera does
The unusual dog walkA suburban sidewalk in late afternoonTwo spotted hyenas on leashesThe old man calms them like a dog owner: "Hey. Hey. Come on."Backs away as a hyena comes up to the lens

Shoot out, as each prompt describes it.

Start with the idea, not the prompt

The strongest clips begin with an idea you can understand in one second, before any prompt exists. Build it from these parts, in this order:

  1. Era: when it was filmed, which mostly means on what.
  2. Location: an ordinary place: a sidewalk, a backyard, a kitchen, a parking lot.
  3. Character: an ordinary person, with ordinary clothes and a believable age.
  4. Normal activity: what they would do on any day: walk the dog, read by the pool, smoke at the counter.
  5. Unexpected element: the one thing that should not be there.
  6. Natural reaction: they panic, ignore it, or stay unusually calm.
  7. Camera behavior: how the person filming physically responds.
  8. Realism: real proportions, real light, real anatomy.
  9. Texture: the image of the camera you named.

Tip:Decide the reaction first. Most of the humor here is deadpan: the grandmother sips her drink, nobody at the pool looks at the crocodiles, the man walking out of the explosion never turns around. Choose whether people panic, ignore it or stay calm before you write anything else, because the reaction decides what the camera does and how the clip ends.

Pick the era by picking the camera

For this style the camera is part of the story. Instead of asking for a generic cinematic image, name the recording device and its limits: cheap consumer optics, handheld movement, imperfect framing, autofocus that hunts, digital noise, compression, motion blur and exposure that shifts.

You can change the era and keep everything else: an early-1990s consumer camcorder, a late-1990s home-video camera or an early-2000s digital handycam each gives a different texture. Whichever you pick, keep it consistent: the place, the clothes, the camera behavior and the image should all belong to the same world. House animals never names a year; two Shoot out prompts do, the parking lot with an early-2000s low-budget street video look and the record store with an authentic 90s consumer-camera feeling.

Texture backs up a real-looking scene; it does not replace one. Grain on a giant animal is still a giant animal. Most prompts end with a VISUAL DNA block that describes the camera's image along with its behavior, and the texture lines are nearly the same each time:

The texture lines from the hyena prompt (the other House animals prompts use nearly the same)
Cheap consumer-camera optics.
Slight motion blur.
Subtle rolling shutter.
Digital noise.
Compression artifacts.
Dirty imperfect lens.
Natural exposure changes.

Watch for this:Ask for the camera, not its overlays. The record store prompt asks for "Subtle VHS-like softness without fake VHS overlays" and then rules them out one by one: No timestamp. No REC icon. No text overlays. Describe what the old camera does to the picture, and say plainly that you do not want the graphics a filter would add. To pin a decade on top of that, name it with its camera, the way the realistic video guide asks for an authentic late-1990s American camcorder, and check the cars, phones and clothes in every take.

Keep the world ordinary and the animal real-sized

The absurdity works because everything around it is ordinary. A suburban sidewalk should look like a suburban sidewalk, and a birthday party like a real family birthday party. Describe ordinary clothes, believable ages and natural behavior, then add the one unusual thing and say how everyone behaves around it.

For animals, state the normal real-world size and anatomy whenever scale matters, so an unusual animal does not turn into a fantasy monster. Each kept House animals prompt has a line like these:

  • Hyenas: "The hyenas are NORMAL REAL-WORLD SIZE. Realistic adult spotted hyena proportions. NOT oversized. NOT monstrous. NOT fantasy animals."
  • Panther: "approximately the size of a real adult black leopard. NOT oversized, NOT gigantic, NOT a fantasy creature."
  • Crocodiles: "approximately 2.5 to 3 meters long, normal real-world crocodile size. NOT GIANT. NOT MONSTROUS."

Shoot out does the same for physics. The convenience store prompt asks for an impact that feels "heavy and physically believable" and rules out "exaggerated superhero movement"; the parking lot prompt asks for "RAW REALISM" and no heroic slow motion.

Make the camera a person holding it

The camera should behave like a real person with a cheap camera, not a virtual operator with perfect control. Write footsteps, micro-shake, nervous reactions, sudden reframing, accidental zoom, autofocus hunting, crooked framing and moments where the subject leaves the frame. Then give the operator a reaction to the strange thing: that reaction is what makes the footage feel recorded rather than rendered.

SceneWhat the operator does, as written
The unusual dog walkWalks ahead filming, instinctively backs away as the hyena comes to the lens, and the camera shakes as they retreat
The birthday partyFlinches violently at every shot, loses Granny and finds her again, while kids cross right in front of the lens
The panther walks inNotices the panther before she does, turns nervous and shaky, and slowly zooms in
The parking lotFlinches and jerks sideways at the blast, loses focus on his face, then backs away as he keeps coming
The helicopterShakes uncontrollably, ducks as it passes overhead, and comes back up to find him still standing there
The elevatorReacts slightly late to the shot, jerks backward, holds on the closed doors, then steps closer

Then rule out every tool a neighbor with a camera would not have. Every prompt ends with a list of noes. The House animals prompts all rule out the gimbal, the Steadicam and slow motion; the Shoot out prompts mostly go after the polished look: no heroic slow motion, no smooth tracking, no music-video polish, no Hollywood action cinematography.

Tip:Use the composer's camera moves. Under the prompt, the Camera move row has twenty moves at three strengths: push-in and pull-back, pans and tilts, orbits, cranes and trucks, a tracking shot, a zoom in, a dolly zoom, rack focus, handheld, a parallax drift, a drone fly-through and locked off. Picking one adds one sentence to the end of your prompt. All six Shoot out clips and the House animals bonus used Handheld at Strong, and the last sentence of each of those prompts, "Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.", is that pick. A whip pan and a crash zoom are not in the row, so write them into the prompt; the camera moves guide has the words that get each one. Open the composer with Handheld at Strong.

Write the prompt: the world, the action, the camera, the noes

These prompts do not micromanage every frame. They give Seedance 2.5 a clear world, the characters, the action, what must stay true and the camera language, and let the model make the movement. The House animals prompts are all built the same way:

  1. A header with the model and the format: SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT, 9:16.
  2. The world in short lines: the place, the time of day, a few props that sell it.
  3. The people: their age, their clothes and what they are doing.
  4. The strange thing, with an IMPORTANT line that locks its size.
  5. The action, one beat per line, with any dialogue in quotes.
  6. What must not happen: no attack, no injury, no gore.
  7. VISUAL DNA: the camera's behavior, then its image.
  8. The noes: the tools and looks a home video would not have.
  9. One sentence that says what the footage should feel like.

The Shoot out prompts follow the same order, though three of them skip the header and the VISUAL DNA heading and put the camera's image in a closing paragraph. Either works; what matters is that each part is there.

The unusual dog walk (Seedance 2.5)
SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT - 9:16

A completely ordinary American suburban neighborhood during late afternoon.

Quiet residential street.
Driveways.
Parked cars.
Small front yards.
Mailboxes.
People occasionally visible through windows.

An elderly man in an old windbreaker, loose pants and worn sneakers is casually walking down the sidewalk.

He is walking TWO REALISTIC ADULT SPOTTED HYENAS on sturdy leashes.

IMPORTANT: The hyenas are NORMAL REAL-WORLD SIZE. Realistic adult spotted hyena proportions. NOT oversized. NOT monstrous. NOT fantasy animals.

The man behaves as if he is simply walking his dogs around the neighborhood.

The camera operator is walking several meters ahead of him, filming casually with a cheap handheld camera.

The hyenas suddenly notice the camera.

They become alert.

One hyena walks toward the camera and gets extremely close to the lens.

Its face fills most of the frame.

It stares directly into the camera.

The hyena begins aggressively growling and making realistic low snarling sounds.

The second hyena pulls toward the camera too.

The old man struggles slightly with the leashes.

He says calmly, almost like an annoyed dog owner:

"Hey. Hey. Come on."

He pulls the leashes backward and tries to guide both hyenas away from the camera.

The first hyena continues staring directly into the lens while growling.

The camera operator instinctively backs away.

The camera shakes as the operator retreats.

The old man keeps pulling the leashes and calmly trying to regain control.

The hyenas eventually turn away and continue walking down the sidewalk.

The old man casually follows them.

CUT.

No attack.
No biting.
No injury.
No gore.

The tension comes entirely from the animals getting extremely close to the camera and the old man struggling to control them.

VISUAL DNA:
Extremely raw handheld consumer-camera footage.
Real human camera operator walking backward.
Constant handheld micro-shake.
Uneven footsteps.
Natural human breathing movement.
Crooked framing.
Camera operator reacts nervously as the hyena approaches.
Sudden backward movement.
Camera briefly loses the old man.
Autofocus hunts between the hyena's face and background.
The hyena's face occasionally becomes extremely close to the lens.
Natural focus breathing.
Realistic animal fur.
Realistic hyena anatomy and proportions.
Realistic ears, teeth and facial movement.
Natural afternoon lighting.
Realistic suburban shadows.
Cheap consumer-camera optics.
Slight motion blur.
Subtle rolling shutter.
Digital noise.
Compression artifacts.
Dirty imperfect lens.
Natural exposure changes.

NO giant hyenas.
NO oversized animals.
NO fantasy creatures.
NO CGI appearance.
NO cinematic wildlife photography.
NO gimbal.
NO Steadicam.
NO drone.
NO perfect tracking.
NO slow motion.
NO polished Hollywood cinematography.
NO music-video look.

Make it feel like a random neighbor filmed an old man taking his extremely unusual pets for their daily walk.
An old man in a tan raincoat walks two spotted hyenas on leashes down a suburban sidewalk at sunset; one walks up to the camera until its snout fills the frame, mouth open, then both fall back beside him
The unusual dog walk. 4 seconds, the first run of this prompt.

Build the shot: details, cars, low angles and drones

The third project, NOLGIA prompting, is a lesson in camera language, and its rule is to prompt the shot, not just the subject. Say what happens, where the camera is, how it moves, what the light is doing and how the image should behave. That is what turns a generic clip into footage with one visual identity. Every prompt in it follows one formula:

The shot formula
Subject + Environment + Action + Camera position + Camera movement + Lighting + Image texture + Timing

A hand or detail shot makes a small thing feel caught by a real operator: tight framing, a slightly imperfect handheld camera, a direct flash for hard highlights, and autofocus that has to find the detail. The grill shot is the hard version, because the detail is lettering: NOLGIA in diamonds, on her teeth, in a restroom mirror.

A draft: the word NOLGIA in large diamond letters spreads across her lips and past her teeth
A draft: the letters spread across her lips.
A draft: the diamond grill reads NOLGA, with the I missing
A draft: NOLGA, with the I missing.
A draft: the clip opens on her standing upright in a black dress, well back from the restroom mirror, before it moves in on her grill
A draft: it opens on her standing upright, well back from the mirror.
Kept: a blonde woman leans into a nightclub restroom mirror and pulls her lower lip down with one finger; the camera zooms in until a diamond grill reading NOLGIA fills the frame
Kept, the ninth run: she leans into the mirror, pulls her lip down, and the grill reads NOLGIA for about a second.

Each miss became a rule in the prompt. After the letters spread onto her lips and the I went missing, it gained NO floating text, NO lettering on lips, and one letter per tooth, N = one tooth through A = one tooth. After she opened standing far from the mirror, it gained an IMPORTANT BODY POSITION block: she is LEANING FORWARD TOWARD THE MIRROR, NOT standing upright several feet away. The scene took thirteen Seedance 2.5 runs in all; the one kept is the ninth.

The grill (Seedance 2.5, with Rack focus at Strong picked)
DURATION: 6 SECONDS

AUTHENTIC VERY LOW-QUALITY LATE-1990s CONSUMER CAMCORDER FOOTAGE.

A beautiful, hot-looking young blonde woman in her late 20s with a wealthy late-1990s hip-hop nightlife aesthetic is standing in front of a large mirror inside an upscale 1990s nightclub restroom.

She looks rich and glamorous, wearing a revealing low-neck black 1990s-style dress, diamond earrings, layered gold necklaces, a luxury diamond watch, rings, and expensive jewelry. Her blonde hair is slightly messy and her makeup is glamorous but imperfect and slightly smudged, giving her a late-night party look.

IMPORTANT BODY POSITION:

She is LEANING FORWARD TOWARD THE MIRROR.

Her upper body is bent naturally toward the mirror, bringing her face extremely close to the glass. Her mouth is only a few inches from the mirror.

She is NOT standing upright several feet away.

She is physically leaning into the mirror to inspect her grill at extremely close range, matching the intimate composition and proximity of the provided reference.

The camera is positioned very close to her reflection, creating an almost claustrophobic close-up of her face and mouth.

She is looking at HERSELF IN THE MIRROR, not directly at the camera.

IMPORTANT GRILL ACTION:

She slightly opens her mouth and uses one finger to gently pull her lower lip downward, exposing the entire custom grill while examining it in the mirror.

Her mouth and grill should dominate the frame.

DENTAL GRILL:

A luxurious custom diamond grill fitted precisely over her natural upper and lower teeth.

The grill spells:

N O L G I A

The letters must be BOLD, LARGE, CLEAR, AND READABLE.

Each letter occupies its own individual tooth position:

N = one tooth
O = one tooth
L = one tooth
G = one tooth
I = one tooth
A = one tooth

The letters are physically constructed from diamonds and integrated directly into the grill.

Use a STRONG CLASSICAL OLD-STYLE SERIF FONT, similar to a bold Times New Roman / traditional Roman serif.

Straight serif letterforms.
Bold vertical strokes.
Clearly defined serifs.
Traditional Roman proportions.
Luxury custom-jewelry appearance.

NOT cursive.
NOT calligraphic.
NOT handwritten.
NOT gothic.
NOT futuristic.
NOT thin or delicate.

The six letters must clearly read:

NOLGIA

The letters must remain entirely ON THE TEETH.

NO floating text.
NO text overlay.
NO lettering on lips.
NO lettering on gums.
NO lettering on skin.
NO lettering outside the mouth.

CAMERA MOVEMENT:

0-1 SECOND:
Begin with a very close handheld view of her leaning toward the mirror. Her face and mouth are already extremely close to the glass. The camcorder is slightly out of focus.

1-2.5 SECONDS:
The operator moves closer with a crude optical zoom toward her mouth. She continues leaning toward the mirror, examining her grill.

The autofocus hunts badly, briefly focusing on her nose and lips before shifting onto the teeth.

2.5-4 SECONDS:
EXTREME CLOSE-UP of the grill.

The camera is almost macro distance from her reflection. Her mouth fills most of the frame.

She gently pulls the lower lip downward with her finger so the grill is completely visible.

The autofocus finally locks onto the individual diamond letters.

The bold N-O-L-G-I-A lettering should be clearly readable despite the degraded footage.

4-5 SECONDS:
The camera briefly loses focus again. The diamonds bloom into soft highlights. The image becomes blurry for a moment, then autofocus snaps back onto the grill.

5-6 SECONDS:
The camera pulls back slightly with a crude optical zoom, revealing more of her face and upper body while she remains LEANING TOWARD THE MIRROR.

She continues looking at herself in the mirror and admiring the grill.

CAMCORDER AESTHETIC:

THIS MUST LOOK LIKE REAL LATE-1990s CONSUMER CAMCORDER FOOTAGE.

Very low resolution.
Heavy coarse analog grain.
CCD noise.
Soft image.
Color bleeding.
Crushed blacks.
Blown highlights.
Slight yellow/green analog cast.
Chromatic aberration.
Motion smear.
Autofocus hunting.
Focus breathing.
Exposure pumping.
Imperfect white balance.
Crude optical zoom.
Analog compression artifacts.
Unstable handheld framing.

The camera should feel physically operated by a real person standing extremely close to her.

NO modern digital camera.
NO cinematic commercial photography.
NO DSLR look.
NO clean sharp image.
NO gimbal.
NO Steadicam.
NO modern stabilization.
NO perfect focus.
NO polished Hollywood cinematography.

The WOMAN and her JEWELRY should look expensive and luxurious.

THE FOOTAGE SHOULD LOOK CHEAP, OLD, GRAINY, AND RAW.

The visual reference should primarily inform the extreme proximity, leaning posture, mouth-to-mirror composition, and grill inspection action.

DIEGETIC AUDIO ONLY:
quiet nightclub restroom ambience, distant muffled voices, subtle breathing, jewelry movement, clothing movement, and faint camcorder handling noise.

NO BACKGROUND MUSIC. Camera: locked off on a tripod with a fast, decisive rack focus, the focus snapping from a blurred foreground to the subject and back, very shallow depth of field.

A car or action shot works best with the action and the camera as separate instructions: describe the car doing donuts first, then how the camera watches it. The Porsche prompt puts the operator at street level, low and close to the pavement at a front three-quarter angle, shifting sideways and back to keep the car framed while tire smoke rolls into the lens. Halfway through, the same clip becomes the fourth kind of shot.

A drone or overhead shot reveals the place, the scale or the whole pattern of an action. State the altitude, the angle and the move: high, looking almost straight down, slowly rotating, so the circle of tire smoke reads from above. Keep the same light and texture, so the aerial view still belongs to the same film.

A low-angle shot comes from putting the camera physically below the subject, not from asking for a dramatic angle. The church prompt starts low, right behind a man standing on the roof of a red Lamborghini with his arms spread, so the car, his back and the vaulted ceiling stack up in one frame. Then it zooms crudely to three shocked pastors, pans across the congregation and pulls back to the whole nave.

A black Porsche 911 spins donuts at a palm-lined Miami intersection at night, filmed low from the street through tire smoke with palm trees burning behind, then from high overhead as the car draws a circle of smoke
The Porsche. 4 seconds, the first run: street level, then overhead.
Inside a vast Roman church during a service: a man in a leather jacket stands on the roof of a red Lamborghini in the aisle with his arms spread, filmed low from behind, then a zoom to three shocked pastors at the altar, the congregation, and a wide view of the nave
The church. 4 seconds, the fifth run of this scene, one of them on Wan 3.0.
The Porsche (Seedance 2.5, with Drone fly-through at Medium picked)
DURATION: 4 SECONDS

A realistic early-1990s luxury hip-hop music-video shot in a wealthy Miami residential neighborhood at night. A period-correct Porsche 911 performs controlled, aggressive donuts at an open residential intersection, rotating around the same center point with believable vehicle weight, tire grip and momentum. The Porsche has realistic proportions, authentic period bodywork and glossy paint reflecting the surrounding streetlights.

In the background, several tall palm trees and tropical trees are burning intensely, with realistic flames climbing the trunks and branches. Thick natural smoke drifts across the street and catches the light. The houses remain believable upscale Miami residential architecture, with warm practical lights visible through windows and subtle reflections on parked cars.

CAMERA - FIRST HALF:
A real handheld camera operator stands safely at street level facing the Porsche. Begin with a low front three-quarter angle close to the pavement. The Porsche enters frame already sliding and begins rotating into a donut. The camera operator instinctively shifts sideways and slightly backward to keep the car framed, creating subtle natural handheld shake and imperfect framing. Tire smoke rolls toward the camera and briefly softens the image.

As the Porsche completes another rotation, the operator quickly tilts upward for a moment, catching the burning palm trees behind the car.

CAMERA - SECOND HALF:
Seamlessly transition to a high overhead drone perspective looking almost straight down. The Porsche continues its donuts below, leaving a circular pattern of tire smoke on the pavement. The drone slowly rotates around the spinning car while maintaining a wide overhead composition, revealing the residential streets, surrounding houses, burning trees and drifting smoke.

Keep the Porsche’s donut trajectory physically consistent and believable. No impossible drifting, no floating vehicle, no exaggerated suspension movement.

Authentic early-1990s analog music-video image character: realistic film grain, subtle halation around streetlights and flames, natural exposure changes, slightly imperfect optics, realistic reflections, believable night lighting and natural atmospheric smoke.

The people and environment should remain realistic and grounded. No parody, no exaggerated proportions, no videogame appearance, no overly polished CGI.

AUDIO: No background music. Only diegetic sound: Porsche engine revving, tires squealing against asphalt, tire smoke and road noise, distant neighborhood ambience, crackling flames, wind moving through palm trees and the occasional echo of the engine between houses. Camera: a first-person drone flight forward through the scene, banking smoothly around obstacles at a steady pace, the horizon tilting with each turn.
The church (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
DURATION: 7 SECONDS

Authentic late-1990s handheld camcorder footage inside an enormous historic Roman church in Rome. Massive stone columns, towering arches, marble floors, ornate religious architecture, stained glass and an extremely high vaulted ceiling create a huge sense of scale. A religious service is already taking place.

A bright red 1990s Lamborghini is positioned inside the church near the central aisle.

A young adult man in authentic late-1990s luxury hip-hop clothing is standing completely still on the roof of the Lamborghini, seen entirely from behind.

He wears a dark oversized 1990s leather jacket, loose trousers and expensive sneakers. From the rear angle, his clothing completely covers his neck and no chain or necklace is visible from behind.

He is not walking or moving forward.

He stands firmly on the roof of the car with both feet planted and both arms raised and spread outward, confronting the altar and the people in front of him. His posture is confident and defiant but physically natural.

The congregation has already noticed him. People throughout the church are turned toward him, confused and staring.

At the front of the church, three pastors are standing behind their proper preaching podium/lectern at the altar, facing the congregation. They have stopped preaching and are staring directly toward the man with genuine surprise and confusion.

CAMERA

Everything is filmed from the perspective of someone holding a late-1990s handheld camcorder.

0.0-2.0 SECONDS - BACK OF THE MAN

Begin with a low-angle handheld shot directly behind the man.

The camera is close enough to clearly see his back, shoulders, raised arms and the roof of the red Lamborghini.

Do not show his face.

Do not show his chain.

The framing should emphasize:

man from behind → red Lamborghini → enormous church interior ahead.

The camera operator makes tiny natural movements while standing in place: subtle shake, breathing movement, slight side-to-side drift and occasional framing correction.

The man remains stationary with both arms spread.

The high ceiling and massive architecture should already be visible above him.

2.0-3.5 SECONDS - SUDDEN ZOOM TO PASTORS

Without cutting, the camcorder suddenly performs a crude optical zoom toward the altar.

The operator physically zooms in while slightly adjusting the camera.

The image becomes temporarily soft and grainy during the zoom.

The three pastors behind the podium become the focus.

All three are staring toward the man.

Their expressions are genuinely shocked and confused - subtle raised eyebrows, widened eyes, exchanged glances and uncertain body language.

They remain behind their preaching podiums.

3.5-5.0 SECONDS - AUDIENCE

The camera quickly pans away from the pastors and moves across the congregation.

People are already turning around and looking toward the Lamborghini.

Some people whisper to each other.

Some stare directly toward the man.

The camera passes behind shoulders and briefly loses focus on individual people before naturally correcting.

Keep this movement messy and handheld.

5.0-7.0 SECONDS - PULL OUT / FULL REVEAL

The operator physically steps backward while pulling the camera out to a much wider composition.

The entire scene gradually becomes visible:

the man standing on the red Lamborghini with both arms raised,

the congregation surrounding him,

the three pastors behind their podiums,

the altar,

the massive marble architecture,

the towering columns,

and the enormous vaulted ceiling.

The camera continues to shake naturally as the operator backs away.

End on a wide handheld camcorder frame where the scale of the Roman church completely surrounds the strange confrontation.

CAMCORDER LOOK

This must look like genuine late-1990s handheld camcorder footage, not modern cinematic footage.

Strong natural handheld shake, slight walking/breathing movement, imperfect framing, crude optical zoom, autofocus hunting, exposure pumping, motion blur, low-light CCD noise, analog grain, chromatic noise and soft consumer-camcorder optics.

The image should occasionally look slightly underexposed and then compensate naturally.

No gimbal.

No Steadicam.

No smooth robotic camera.

No modern stabilization.

No perfect cinematic focus pull.

The camera operator should feel like a real person standing inside the congregation, physically reacting to what they are seeing.

The Lamborghini, man, congregation and architecture must maintain realistic scale and proportions.

The scene should feel completely real despite the bizarre situation - like genuine 1990s footage of an unexpected interruption during a religious service.

AUDIO

NO BACKGROUND MUSIC.

Only diegetic sound: enormous church reverb, quiet congregation murmurs, people whispering, footsteps on marble, clothing movement, distant church ambience, the pastors’ confused voices and natural camcorder handling noise.

No narrator.

No cinematic sound effects.

The final shot should feel like a bizarre piece of raw archival camcorder footage from a 1990s hip-hop world. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.

Watch for this:Pick a move that agrees with the prompt. The sentence a Camera move pick adds goes after your prompt, and nothing checks that the two agree. The grill prompt asks for a handheld camcorder and crude zooms, and its Rack focus pick adds "locked off on a tripod". The Porsche prompt asks for a slow overhead rotation, and its Drone fly-through pick adds "a first-person drone flight forward". Both clips followed their prompts this time. Pick the move that says the same thing as the prompt, or none.

Tip:Name the camera, not the adjective. Words like cinematic or realistic on their own do little. Say what the camera is physically doing: "low handheld camera tracks alongside the car, operator struggles slightly to keep it framed, crude optical zoom, autofocus briefly hunts, direct flash catches the bodywork, deep shadows and heavy CCD grain." The subject is the content; the camera, the light and the imperfections are the identity.

Keep every shot in the same world

Changing the shot does not mean changing the look. Keep one visual recipe across every shot and change only where the camera is and how it moves. The NOLGIA prompting shots all use this one:

ElementKeep it the same
LightingDirect on-camera flash, deep shadows, dim warm practicals, a little cool blue-violet spill
TextureHeavy analog grain, low-light CCD noise, optical softness, slight chromatic aberration
ExposureCrushed blacks, blown highlights, imperfect exposure and focus breathing
Camera feelHandheld micro-shake, imperfect framing, autofocus hunting and crude optical zoom

The flash is what ties them together. The waterfront prompt has the operator run around a line of cars firing the flash in bursts: on the whole group, on a Ferrari's chrome, on an elderly woman arguing into a 1990s phone, before the image falls back into dark, grainy exposure.

Night at a waterfront lot with a city skyline: a group in late-1990s hip-hop clothes stands by a line of sports cars, and an elderly woman in gold chains argues into a 1990s cellular phone as the camera flash fires
The waterfront. 6 seconds, the first run of this prompt.
The waterfront (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
DURATION: 6 SECONDS

Authentic late-1990s hip-hop camcorder footage at night in an industrial waterfront parking area overlooking a major American city skyline. A large group of realistically proportioned adults stands casually around a lineup of expensive 1990s luxury and sports cars - period-correct Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Mercedes and other high-end vehicles. The cars are immaculate and physically believable, with headlights and small practical lights glowing against the dark pavement.

The group wears authentic late-1990s luxury hip-hop and subtle punk-influenced streetwear: oversized leather jackets, baggy denim, dark designer clothing, heavy diamond chains, pendants, watches, rings and sunglasses. The styling feels genuinely expensive and naturally worn, never like costumes.

An elderly white woman stands prominently among the group, dressed in an unexpectedly elegant old-fashioned outfit with a substantial diamond hip-hop chain around her neck. She holds a chunky 1990s-style handheld cellular phone against her ear and is angrily arguing with someone on the phone. She gestures naturally with her free hand, visibly irritated and animated while everyone around her remains relatively calm.

CAMERA - FAST HANDHELD CAMCORDER MONTAGE

The entire sequence feels like someone physically running around the scene with a late-1990s handheld camcorder, rapidly capturing fragments of the night.

0.0-1.2 sec:
Start with a shaky wide shot of the entire group and lineup of luxury cars. The operator quickly steps sideways while filming, causing natural handheld bobbing and imperfect framing. Several bright camera flashes fire during the movement, briefly illuminating faces, jewelry and car bodywork.

1.2-2.2 sec:
Abrupt handheld move toward a Ferrari. Brief close-up of the front emblem and headlights. The camera shakes while the operator moves around the front corner of the car. A harsh direct flash briefly blows out the chrome and paint reflections.

2.2-3.3 sec:
Hard handheld whip toward the elderly woman. She is already mid-conversation, angrily speaking into the large 1990s phone. The camera gets unusually close to her face, slightly off-center. Another direct flash suddenly illuminates her face, diamond chain and phone.

3.3-4.3 sec:
Quick low handheld shot moving past several pairs of expensive sneakers and car tires, then tilting upward toward the group. The operator briefly loses framing before correcting.

4.3-5.2 sec:
Fast medium shot of the woman continuing her furious phone conversation while the luxury cars sit behind her. She gestures sharply with her free hand. The people around her barely react.

5.2-6.0 sec:
The camera quickly backs away into a wide shot, revealing the entire group and cars again. Another burst of direct flash briefly freezes the scene before the image falls back into dark, grainy camcorder exposure.

IMAGE CHARACTER

Make this look like real late-1990s consumer/professional camcorder footage, not modern cinema.

Strong but believable analog/digital camcorder grain, low-light noise, slight chromatic fringing, blown highlights from direct flash, dark crushed shadows, imperfect autofocus, exposure pumping, motion smear, subtle interlacing/CCD character, occasional overexposure from the flash and slightly washed-out colors.

The flash should feel like a real on-camera photographic flash, creating sudden harsh illumination against the otherwise dark environment.

The handheld movement is extremely important: no gimbal, no Steadicam, no perfectly smooth dolly, no robotic movement. The operator should physically stumble, reposition, tilt, pan and correct framing while trying to capture the group.

Human proportions, vehicles, clothing, jewelry and environmental scale must remain completely realistic.

The overall feeling is wealthy, mysterious, badass late-90s hip-hop culture captured by someone with a camcorder after midnight - raw, spontaneous and expensive at the same time.

AUDIO - NO BACKGROUND MUSIC.

Only diegetic sound: distant city ambience, car engines idling, footsteps on pavement, clothing movement, camera handling noise, occasional camera-flash mechanical sounds, distant traffic and the elderly woman’s angry voice coming through the phone conversation. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.

The same recipe carries two hosts across two shots. Each host started as a character sheet: eight expressions and a full-length view of one person in one outfit, on a plain grey background. Then came a background plate of the mansion with neither host in it: a black panther on a black leather couch, lit by a direct camera flash, and a hooded man in a chair deep in the room, with space left for the hosts. Both host clips attach all three images under Reference images in the video composer, and both prompts open by naming them: "Use the uploaded male character sheet as the EXACT identity reference for the man."

The male host's character sheet: eight portraits of one blond man in a black leather jacket, white shirt and gold chain, each with a different expression, and a full-length view, on a plain grey background
His sheet, GPT Image 2.5 Flare.
The female host's character sheet: eight portraits of one blonde woman in a black dress and leather jacket with gold jewelry, each with a different expression, and a full-length view, on a plain grey background
Her sheet, GPT Image 2.5 Flare, from the same prompt with the details changed.
His character sheet (GPT Image 2.5 Flare)
Create a professional photorealistic character reference sheet of ONE fictional adult white male, approximately 28-32 years old. This is a BASE CHARACTER SHEET for maintaining identical character likeness across future AI-generated images and videos.

CHARACTER IDENTITY: handsome masculine face, strong defined jawline, straight proportional nose, slightly deep-set expressive eyes, natural eyebrows, subtle cheekbone definition, realistic lips, short-to-medium messy blonde 1990s hair with the exact same hairline, length, texture and styling in every frame. Realistic facial asymmetry, visible pores, subtle skin imperfections and completely natural human skin texture. Athletic masculine build, broad shoulders and realistic proportions.

WARDROBE MUST REMAIN IDENTICAL IN EVERY PANEL: oversized black leather jacket, loose white/off-white shirt, baggy dark 1990s trousers, heavy gold chain, gold watch and several gold rings. No logos, no text, no modern fashion.

Create ONE clean character-sheet composition containing 8 clearly separated portrait/reference panels of the SAME EXACT PERSON. The face, hairstyle, age, skin tone, body proportions and wardrobe must remain completely consistent across all panels.

PANEL 1 - straight-on neutral expression.
PANEL 2 - straight-on subtle confident expression.
PANEL 3 - slight serious/intimidating expression.
PANEL 4 - subtle smirk.
PANEL 5 - natural genuine smile.
PANEL 6 - surprised/alert expression with slightly raised eyebrows.
PANEL 7 - angry/intense expression, controlled rather than exaggerated.
PANEL 8 - relaxed thoughtful expression.

Also include one full-body neutral standing view beside or below the portrait grid, showing the complete outfit and body proportions.

Use consistent neutral studio lighting so the face can be clearly studied. No dramatic shadows, no extreme color grading, no beauty retouching. Photorealistic skin and facial detail.

The most important requirement is IDENTITY CONSISTENCY: every panel must look unmistakably like the exact same person, not different variations of the character. Preserve the exact facial structure, eye shape, nose, mouth, jawline, hairline, hairstyle, skin tone and proportions across every expression.

Straight photographic reference-sheet presentation, clean neutral background, realistic photography, high facial detail, natural proportions, no text, no labels, no duplicate people, no extra characters.
The mansion plate (GPT Image 2.5 Flare)
Create a photorealistic cinematic background plate for an underground late-1990s American hip-hop music video. Show ONLY the environment and background characters described below - do NOT include the main male character or the female character.

INTERIOR: an enormous dark luxury mansion room at night. The room feels expensive, mysterious and slightly sinister. Black and very dark brown interior, dark polished wood, black leather furniture, heavy dark curtains, subtle antique/luxury details, large shadowy architectural elements and a deep black background. The space should feel like a private mansion room rather than a modern studio.

FOREGROUND: a large black leather couch positioned prominently in the room. A large BLACK PANTHER is calmly sitting/lying on the couch, relaxed but alert, realistic anatomy, glossy black fur catching tiny highlights from the camera flash. The panther should feel like a real animal naturally occupying the room, not posed like a fantasy creature.

BACKGROUND: several meters behind the couch, place ONE adult man restrained in a simple heavy chair. His wrists are visibly secured to the chair, but there are NO injuries, NO blood, NO wounds and NO graphic details. He wears a plain white sleeveless undershirt and dark trousers. His face is completely covered by a loose dark cloth hood/bag, creating a mysterious silhouette. He sits tense and uncomfortable, suggesting an intense off-screen interrogation without showing any violence.

LIGHTING IS CRITICAL: reproduce the feeling of a cheap early-2000s/late-1990s consumer camcorder recording in an extremely dark room with the CAMERA FLASH ON. A harsh direct on-camera flash hits the foreground objects, producing bright blown highlights on the black leather couch and the panther's fur while the rest of the mansion falls rapidly into deep darkness. Add subtle dim warm practical lamps far in the background, barely illuminating parts of the room. Mix warm amber practical light with cold blue-violet reflections and flash spill.

CAMERA LOOK: handheld consumer camcorder photograph, slightly low-light and imperfect. Strong optical softness, heavy analog/CCD noise, dense film grain, subtle chromatic aberration, crushed blacks, blown flash highlights, slight lens bloom, imperfect exposure and natural focus falloff. The foreground should be sharper while the background man and mansion architecture gradually fall into soft darkness. The image should feel like a frame captured accidentally during a secret late-1990s/early-2000s underground recording.

COMPOSITION: wide-medium establishing shot showing the couch and panther in the foreground/midground and the restrained hooded man clearly visible deeper in the room. Leave enough empty space around the couch for the female character to be composited beside the panther later, and enough space in the background for the male character to be added later.

No main male character. No female character. No modern objects. No text. No logos. No weapons. No injuries. No blood. No gore. Photorealistic, raw, mysterious, luxurious and unsettling.
The mansion background plate: a black panther lying on a black leather couch lit by a camera flash, and, deep in the dark room, a hooded man sitting in a chair
The plate, with room left for the hosts.
A dark mansion lit by a camera flash: a blond man in a black leather jacket and gold chain turns toward the camera and talks, then the camera pans to a blonde woman on a black leather couch petting a black panther
The opening. 6 seconds, the second of two runs.
The opening (Seedance 2.5, sheets and plate attached, with Handheld at Strong picked)
Use the uploaded male character sheet as the EXACT identity reference for the man. Preserve his face, blonde 1990s hair, black leather jacket, white shirt, gold chain, jewelry and proportions exactly.

Use the uploaded female character sheet as the EXACT identity reference for the woman. Preserve her face, blonde 1990s hair, black dress, leather jacket, gold jewelry and proportions exactly.

Use the uploaded mansion/location image as the EXACT environment reference. Preserve the dark mansion, black leather couch, black panther, wooden architecture and background composition.

Create ONE continuous 4-second handheld camcorder shot with three connected beats. No cuts.

BEAT 1 - MAN:
Begin with the man standing beside the restrained hooded man in the chair in the background. His back is partially toward the camera. He looks physically tired and composed after an intense off-screen interrogation. His hands are visibly dirty/stained but show no graphic injury. He pauses, then slowly turns his upper body and head toward the camera.

As he turns, the camera operator reacts naturally and performs a crude optical camcorder zoom toward him. The zoom is imperfect and mechanical, briefly losing focus before autofocus catches his face. He looks directly toward the camera and says:

“These videos have been going viral lately.”

His delivery is serious, calm and slightly intimidating. Keep his movement natural and restrained.

BEAT 2 - PAN TO WOMAN:
Immediately after he finishes the line, the camera quickly but imperfectly pans from the man toward the woman sitting on the black leather couch beside the panther.

IMPORTANT CAMERA DIRECTION:
Do NOT pan across the entire mansion or make a huge sweeping movement. Pan through the SHORTEST DIRECT PATH between the man's position and the woman's position. Keep the movement compact and motivated, as if the camera operator is physically turning toward the person who begins speaking.

During the pan, allow natural motion blur, exposure fluctuation and brief autofocus hunting. The camera settles on the woman and panther.

The woman is calmly petting the black panther while looking toward the camera. She says:

“But nobody teaches you how to make them.”

She delivers the line confidently and naturally. While speaking, she continues slowly stroking the panther. The panther remains calm, occasionally blinking or subtly moving its ears.

BEAT 3 - MAN MOVES CLOSER:
As soon as the woman finishes, the camera shifts back toward the man.

The man now walks naturally toward the camera and toward the couch, closing the distance. The camera operator backs up slightly while maintaining a loose handheld frame. The camera performs another crude optical zoom/focus adjustment as the man approaches.

He stops beside the couch near the woman and looks directly into the camera. The camera settles on his face in a slightly imperfect medium close-up.

He says:

“So we got you.”

His delivery is short, serious and confident.

CAMERA STYLE THROUGHOUT:
Authentic late-1990s / early-2000s consumer camcorder footage. VERY handheld. Real human operator movement: micro-shakes, imperfect framing, tiny corrections, slight stumble in movement, natural motion blur and occasional exposure pumping. No gimbal. No smooth modern tracking. No polished Hollywood camera movement.

Use crude optical zoom rather than digital zoom. Zooms should have slight mechanical jerk, focus breathing, autofocus hunting and temporary softness before locking onto the subject.

LIGHTING:
Extremely dark mansion interior with dim warm practical lamps in the background. Harsh DIRECT ON-CAMERA CAMCORDER FLASH illuminates whoever the camera is focused on, producing blown highlights on faces, gold jewelry, black leather and the panther's glossy fur. Deep black shadows surround the subjects. Mix subtle warm amber practical light with faint cool blue-violet tones.

IMAGE CHARACTER:
Heavy CCD noise, analog grain, low-light color noise, optical softness, crushed blacks, blown flash highlights, slight chromatic aberration, mild lens bloom, imperfect exposure and occasional focus hunting. No HDR, no modern sharpness, no cinematic stabilization.

The entire shot should feel like a raw piece of underground 1990s/early-2000s footage captured by someone physically holding an old camcorder with the flash on.

No cuts. No subtitles. No text overlays. No extra characters. Preserve exact character likeness and exact mansion environment. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.

The closing shot is written as a direct continuation: "same dark mansion, same black leather couch, same black panther, same furniture, same lighting", and the camera is "the SAME OLD HANDHELD CAMCORDER from the previous scene". When two shots must cut together, say so in the second prompt and list what carries over.

The same mansion: the woman sits on the black leather couch petting the panther and talks to the camera while the man leans in from behind the couch
The closing. 11 seconds, the third of three runs.
The closing (Seedance 2.5, sheets and plate attached, with Handheld at Strong picked)
Use the uploaded male and female character sheets as the EXACT identity references. Preserve their faces, hairstyles, body proportions, wardrobe and jewelry exactly.

Use the uploaded mansion/location reference as the EXACT environment. This must feel like a direct continuation of the previous shot: same dark mansion, same black leather couch, same black panther, same furniture, same lighting and same visual atmosphere.

ONE CONTINUOUS 4-SECOND SHOT. No cuts.

COMPOSITION:
The woman remains seated on the black leather couch beside the black panther, calmly petting it throughout the scene. The man is now positioned BEHIND the couch, slightly crouched and leaning forward toward the woman. He is close enough to feel naturally connected to her but remains behind the couch.

DIALOGUE / PERFORMANCE:
The woman looks toward the camera and says naturally:
“Everyone is making these. It’s time you give it a shot.”

She continues gently petting the panther while speaking.

The man then leans slightly forward from behind the couch and says:
“Getting creative is the hardest part.”

The woman turns her attention slightly toward him, then back toward camera and says:
“knoll-jia makes it easy.”

The man then looks toward the camera and says:
“If you want the free guide to follow along…”

The woman finishes:
“…reply nol, and I’ll send it to you.”

Keep the delivery conversational, confident and understated. Do not make them sound like actors delivering exaggerated commercial dialogue. Natural pauses and subtle facial reactions.

CAMERA:
The camera is operated like the SAME OLD HANDHELD CAMCORDER from the previous scene. Maintain exact visual continuity.

Begin with a loose handheld medium-wide composition containing the woman, panther and man behind the couch. Slight natural camera shake and imperfect framing.

As the woman speaks, make a very subtle crude optical zoom toward her. Let autofocus briefly breathe/hunt before settling on her face.

When the man speaks, naturally shift the camera's attention upward/back toward him with a small handheld reframing movement. Do NOT perform a large cinematic pan.

When the woman speaks again, gently drift the camera back toward her.

For the final “reply Nol” line, settle into a slightly closer handheld framing of the woman and panther.

CAMERA CHARACTER:
Authentic late-1990s/early-2000s consumer camcorder. Strong handheld micro-shake, imperfect framing, tiny operator corrections, slight motion blur, crude optical zoom, autofocus hunting, focus breathing and occasional exposure fluctuation.

LIGHTING:
Same extremely dark mansion lighting as the previous shot. Harsh direct ON-CAMERA FLASH illuminates the characters, black leather, gold jewelry and the panther's glossy fur. Deep black shadows surround the room. Dim warm practical lamps remain visible in the background with subtle cool blue-violet tones.

IMAGE TEXTURE:
Heavy CCD noise, analog grain, optical softness, crushed blacks, blown flash highlights, subtle chromatic aberration, mild lens bloom and imperfect low-light exposure. No modern stabilization, no HDR, no polished Hollywood look.

The final result must feel like the exact SAME handheld camcorder recording continuing naturally from the previous scene.

No cuts. No subtitles. No text overlays. No new characters. No wardrobe changes. Preserve exact likeness and environment. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.

Tip:Spell the name the way it sounds. The closing prompt writes NOLGIA as knoll-jia, so the model says it right. Do the same for any brand or name a model might misread.

Watch for this:The duration chip sets the length, not the prompt. Both host prompts ask for ONE CONTINUOUS 4-SECOND SHOT, and the church prompt says DURATION: 7 SECONDS. The clips are 6, 11 and 4 seconds long: the lengths set on the duration chip. Time your beats to the chip.

The panther: nothing happens, then it walks in

The petting prompt has almost no action: she pets the panther, it leans into her hand, looks into the camera and puts its head back down. "Nothing else dramatic happens." The joke is that everyone treats a real panther like a household pet, so the prompt spends its words making the panther ordinary: relaxed, blinking, normal-sized.

Casual petting (Seedance 2.5)
SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT - 9:16

A completely ordinary suburban American backyard on a warm late afternoon.

An elderly woman in a simple house dress and slippers is sitting comfortably in a lawn chair beside her backyard swimming pool.

A REGULAR-SIZED ADULT BLACK PANTHER is lying peacefully beside her chair.

IMPORTANT: The panther is a realistic NORMAL-SIZED adult panther, approximately the size of a real adult black leopard. NOT oversized, NOT gigantic, NOT a fantasy creature.

The old woman casually pets the panther's head and slowly scratches behind its ears.

The panther is completely relaxed and behaves like a real domesticated animal, calmly leaning into her hand and blinking.

The woman smiles and continues petting it.

The camera operator is standing several meters away filming this like a casual home video.

The old woman occasionally looks toward the camera while continuing to pet the panther.

The panther briefly looks directly into the camera.

Then it calmly puts its head back against the woman's leg.

Nothing else dramatic happens.

The entire scene should feel bizarre only because everyone is treating a real panther like an ordinary household pet.

The footage should look like someone casually filmed their elderly neighbor petting her completely normal-sized panther in her backyard.
A grandmother in a white house dress sits in a lawn chair by her pool in late sun with her hand on the head of a black panther lying beside her; the panther looks into the camera
Casual petting. 4 seconds, the first run of this prompt.

The bonus is the one House animals clip with a reveal: a grandmother reads the paper by her pool, a panther walks out from behind the hedge, the operator notices before she does and zooms in, and she takes another sip of her drink. The panther is already at the edge of the shot when the clip starts and the reaction is small, which is why it fits. In the cut it opens the video, trimmed to 2.4 seconds.

The panther walks in (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT - 9:16

A completely ordinary American suburban backyard in the late afternoon.

An elderly woman in a simple house dress and slippers sits comfortably in a plastic lawn chair beside a swimming pool. She is drinking iced tea and reading a newspaper.

The camera operator films casually from the patio.

Everything feels peaceful.

A huge BLACK PANTHER slowly walks into the backyard from behind a hedge.

The camera operator notices it before the woman does.

The camera immediately becomes nervous and shaky.

The panther silently walks across the grass only a few meters behind the woman.

The operator slowly zooms in.

The old woman finally looks up.

She sees the panther.

Long silence.

Instead of panicking, she casually takes another sip of her drink.

The panther walks past her and sits beside the pool.

The woman looks toward the camera with an expression like this is completely normal.

She goes back to reading her newspaper.

CUT.

No attack. No gore. No exaggerated animal behavior. The panther behaves like a real wild animal.

VISUAL DNA:
Extremely raw handheld consumer-camera footage.
Real human camera operator.
Constant subtle handheld micro-shake.
Uneven framing.
Slightly crooked horizon.

The footage should feel like a neighbor accidentally captured something completely insane happening in an ordinary backyard. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.
Filmed from a deck above the yard: a black panther walks out from a hedge and past a grandmother reading the paper in a lounge chair by the pool, a drink in her hand
The panther walks in. 4 seconds, the first run of this prompt.

Watch for this:One word can undo the size lock. The bonus prompt says "A huge BLACK PANTHER" and has no size line. If you reuse it, swap huge for the line from the petting prompt: approximately the size of a real adult black leopard, NOT oversized.

The birthday party: put it all in the first frame

The first versions of this scene told a story: a calm party, then bats suddenly flying in, then panic, then Granny standing up with a handgun. In 4 seconds the story did not fit. In the second formal dinner draft, below, the clip opens on the calm table, the camera whips around, the bats come out as dark smears across the ceiling, and Granny fires from her chair.

A draft: a formal candlelit dinner under a chandelier; bats show as dark smears across the ceiling and a grandmother in an evening dress fires a handgun upward from her chair
A draft: the formal dinner. It opens on a calm table, and the bats come in as smears.
A crowded living room birthday party with balloons and a cake: bats fly over the guests while kids run past the camera and a grandmother at the cake table fires a handgun toward the ceiling
Kept: the bats are already flying when the clip starts.

The kept prompt says the party was already happening before the camera started: the bats fly from the very first frame and never stop, Granny is already holding the gun, the kids are already running. It says it again under IMPORTANT, and once more in the noes: NO bats suddenly appearing, NO bats disappearing. Repeat whatever the clip cannot get wrong.

The birthday party (Seedance 2.5)
SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT - 9:16

A chaotic suburban American children's birthday party inside a crowded living room during the afternoon.

Colorful balloons everywhere.
Birthday cake on a table.
Paper decorations.
Kids running around.
Parents talking.
Food and drinks on tables.
Bright ordinary household lighting.

FROM THE VERY FIRST FRAME, MULTIPLE REALISTIC BATS ARE ALREADY FLYING THROUGH THE ROOM.

The bats NEVER stop flying.

They constantly circle around the ceiling, weave between balloons, fly above the guests and occasionally swoop through the middle of the room.

The party continues despite the bats.

Kids are running around laughing and playing.

Some adults duck occasionally as bats fly past them.

An elderly grandmother stands in the middle of the room holding a handgun.

She is completely calm.

She keeps looking upward and firing cinematic shots toward the flying bats throughout the entire scene.

The camera NEVER presents the shooting as precise or instructional. The gun is simply part of the absurd fictional chaos.

Each time she fires, the camera operator flinches violently.

Muzzle flashes briefly illuminate the room.

The bats keep flying.

The kids keep running around.

People duck, crouch, move around furniture and continue trying to get through the party.

A kid runs directly across the foreground while a bat flies above them.

Another bat briefly flies between the camera and Granny.

Granny calmly tracks the flying bats and continues firing toward empty areas of the room.

NO BAT IS HIT.
NO BLOOD.
NO GORE.
NO ANIMAL INJURY.

The scene should feel completely chaotic but strangely casual.

IMPORTANT:
The bats must already be present when the video begins.
Do NOT introduce the bats halfway through.
They must remain continuously visible and active throughout the entire clip.
Granny must already be holding the gun and actively shooting during the scene.
Kids must continuously run around the room.
The party must feel like it was already happening before the camera started recording.

VISUAL DNA:
Extremely raw handheld consumer-camera home-video footage.
Real human camera operator.
Constant imperfect handheld shake.
Uneven movement.
Camera operator physically reacts to every gunshot.
Sudden involuntary camera jerks.
Occasional accidental reframing.
Kids randomly cross directly in front of the lens.
People partially block the frame.
Camera sometimes loses Granny and then finds her again.
Autofocus constantly hunts between foreground people, bats and background objects.
Fast-moving bats create realistic motion blur.
Bats have realistic wings, anatomy and unpredictable flight paths.
Natural household lighting.
Exposure briefly clips during muzzle flashes.
Realistic smoke from gunfire.
Cheap consumer-camera optics.
Soft image.
Digital noise.
Compression artifacts.
Subtle rolling shutter.
Dirty imperfect lens.
Realistic motion blur.

NO gimbal.
NO Steadicam.
NO perfect tracking.
NO cinematic composition.
NO slow motion.
NO dramatic Hollywood lighting.
NO polished action-movie look.
NO CGI-looking bats.
NO bats suddenly appearing.
NO bats disappearing.
NO bat being shot.
NO blood or gore.

The final result should feel like an insane family birthday home video that somebody happened to record in real life.

Watch for this:Say what must not happen, as plainly as what must. The prompt never presents the shooting as precise or instructional, no bat is hit, and there is no blood, gore or injury. Each of those is its own line.

The pool party: nobody cares

Both crocodile drafts were written for panic: a crocodile climbs out, or a HUGE crocodile emerges, and the party notices and scrambles. The second came back with a crocodile swimming straight at the lens and filling the frame at the pool edge, while the party sat along the far side watching. No one scrambled.

A draft: a crocodile swims straight at the camera and fills the frame at the pool edge, while the party sits along the far side watching
A draft: a HUGE crocodile, written to send the party running.
A sunny backyard pool party: two crocodiles swim slowly through the pool past a boy and a float, while two women talk on the grass and someone dangles their feet at the edge
Kept: two normal-sized crocodiles, and nobody cares.

The kept prompt drops the reveal and the panic. The crocodiles are in the pool from the start, 2.5 to 3 meters long and NOT GIANT, and the strange part is spelled out: NOBODY CARES. A kid swims past one, an adult dips their feet, two women keep talking. A deadpan scene fits in 4 seconds; a chain of reactions does not.

The pool party (Seedance 2.5)
SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT - 9:16

A completely ordinary suburban American family pool party on a bright summer afternoon.

A medium-sized backyard swimming pool surrounded by adults and children. People are sitting in lawn chairs, eating barbecue, talking, laughing and relaxing. Kids are playing in the pool.

THERE ARE TWO NORMAL-SIZED ADULT CROCODILES IN THE POOL.

The crocodiles are realistic, approximately 2.5 to 3 meters long, normal real-world crocodile size. NOT GIANT. NOT MONSTROUS. They simply swim slowly through the pool between the people.

The strange part is that NOBODY CARES.

People casually continue swimming, talking and eating as if crocodiles being in the pool is completely normal.

One kid casually swims past a crocodile.

An adult sitting on the pool edge dips their feet into the water while a crocodile slowly swims nearby.

A woman continues talking to another woman without even looking at the crocodile.

The camera operator casually walks around filming the party.

The camera briefly follows one crocodile as it swims past an inflatable pool float.

The crocodile behaves like a completely normal animal: slow, natural swimming, subtle head movement, realistic eyes, realistic water movement.

No attacks.
No screaming.
No panic.
No one reacts dramatically.
No one runs away.
No crocodile behaves aggressively.

The humor and surrealism come entirely from how NORMAL everyone treats the crocodiles.

VISUAL DNA:
Extremely raw handheld consumer-camera home-video footage.
Real human camera operator.
Constant subtle handheld micro-shake.
Uneven footsteps.
Slightly crooked framing.
Imperfect amateur composition.
Occasional accidental digital zoom.
Camera sometimes drifts away from the subject.
Autofocus naturally hunts between foreground people and crocodiles.
Natural exposure fluctuations in bright sunlight.
Realistic water reflections.
Realistic crocodile skin, anatomy and movement.
Natural summer daylight.
Realistic shadows.
Cheap consumer-camera optics.
Slight motion blur.
Subtle rolling shutter.
Digital noise.
Compression artifacts.
Slightly dirty imperfect lens.

NO gimbal.
NO Steadicam.
NO drone.
NO perfect tracking.
NO cinematic camera movement.
NO slow motion.
NO polished Hollywood cinematography.
NO giant crocodiles.
NO fantasy monster crocodiles.
NO CGI-looking animals.

It should look like a completely ordinary family home video where, for some inexplicable reason, normal-sized crocodiles are just part of the pool party.

Shoot out: the man who does not react

The second project swaps the animals for action, and keeps the deadpan. In three of its prompts something loud and violent happens right next to a man, the camera panics, and he does not: the warehouse behind him explodes and he keeps walking, a helicopter comes in low over his roof and he puts on his sunglasses, he kicks a car door with enormous force and then just looks at it. The prompt says outright that the reaction is the point: "But the man DOES NOT react."

An industrial parking lot at dusk: a man in dark work clothes walks toward the camera as the warehouse behind him explodes into a fireball, and he keeps walking through the smoke until he is close to the lens
The parking lot. 4 seconds, the first run: this one is in the cut.
The same parking lot prompt run a second time: a man in work clothes walks toward the camera through a lot at dusk as a fireball goes up behind him, and he keeps coming until he fills the frame
The same prompt, run again. The explosion and the walk both came back a second time.
A suburban street on a cloudy afternoon: an old man in a white tank top stands by a wood-panelled sedan as a military helicopter comes in low over his house, throwing dust and paper across the street, and the camera shakes
The helicopter. 4 seconds.
Night outside a convenience store under a fluorescent canopy: a heavy man in a leather jacket kicks the driver's door of an old sedan, the picture drops almost to black for a moment, then he looks at the door and walks off
The convenience store. 4 seconds.
The parking lot (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
Vertical 9:16 raw handheld consumer camcorder footage, early-2000s low-budget street video aesthetic.

A completely ordinary industrial parking lot in the late afternoon. A huge black sedan is parked beside an abandoned warehouse. A rugged-looking man in dark work clothes slowly walks toward the camera carrying nothing, completely emotionless.

The camera operator is standing across the parking lot filming casually. The framing is imperfect and slightly crooked. The man gets closer.

Suddenly a massive explosion erupts behind him from the warehouse.

The camera violently flinches and jerks sideways from the shock. Autofocus loses the man's face for a moment. Exposure blows out from the fireball. Dust and debris rush across the parking lot.

But the man DOES NOT react.

He keeps walking directly toward the camera through the smoke as if absolutely nothing happened.

The camera operator instinctively backs away, causing uneven footsteps and chaotic handheld shake. The man gets closer until he fills the frame.

RAW REALISM. No heroic slow motion. No polished action cinematography. No dramatic crane shot. No perfect composition.

Cheap consumer camera optics, ugly digital zoom, autofocus hunting, motion blur, blown highlights, muddy blacks, imperfect exposure, natural environmental sound, microphone clipping from the explosion.

The footage should feel accidentally captured, dangerous and completely real. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.
The helicopter (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
Vertical 9:16 raw handheld footage.

A quiet residential neighborhood on a cloudy afternoon.

An elderly man in a simple white tank top stands beside an old luxury sedan parked outside a small house.

The camera operator films him from across the street.

The old man calmly looks toward the sky.

A military-style helicopter suddenly descends extremely low behind the houses.

The rotor wash violently throws dust, leaves and loose papers through the street.

The camera shakes uncontrollably as the operator tries to keep filming.

The old man doesn't move.

He simply puts on a pair of sunglasses.

The helicopter passes directly overhead.

The camera operator instinctively ducks.

When the camera comes back up, the old man is still standing there completely calm.

He looks directly into the camera.

Very short, absurd, intimidating moment.

No heroic cinematography. No smooth tracking. No perfect composition.

Cheap handheld consumer camera, natural cloudy daylight, blown sky, imperfect autofocus, exposure fluctuations, dirty lens, subtle digital noise, real motion blur, unstable framing, accidental zoom.

It should feel like someone randomly filmed an unbelievable moment on the street. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.
The convenience store (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
Vertical 9:16 raw handheld street footage.

Nighttime outside a grimy convenience store.

A huge older black sedan is parked underneath a flickering fluorescent sign.

A heavily built man wearing a black leather jacket stands beside the car.

The camera operator films from across the parking lot.

The man slowly walks toward the driver's door.

He suddenly kicks the door with enormous force.

The entire car violently rocks sideways.

The camera operator flinches and takes an involuntary step backward.

The man casually looks at the damaged door.

Then he walks away.

No exaggerated superhero movement.

The impact must feel heavy and physically believable.

Camera behavior is the star: sudden reaction shake, imperfect framing, autofocus briefly losing focus during the impact, exposure pumping from the fluorescent lights, accidental digital zoom, slight rolling shutter.

Dirty late-night consumer footage. Realistic skin, realistic clothing, real metal deformation.

No slow motion. No music-video polish. No Hollywood action cinematography.

It should feel like a random person accidentally captured something violent and absurd. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.

Tip:Give the camera the reaction the man refuses. Each prompt moves the drama onto the operator: the camera violently flinches and jerks sideways, autofocus loses the man's face, exposure blows out from the fireball, the operator ducks as the helicopter passes. "Camera behavior is the star," the convenience store prompt says. The calmer the man, the harder the camera should react.

Shoot out: one shot, and the camera flinches

The other three are single gunshots in ordinary rooms: a kitchen at midnight, a record store after closing, an old elevator. Each prompt spends more words on what the shot does to the camera than on the shot itself: the muzzle flash blows out the highlights for a fraction of a second, autofocus locks onto the smoke instead of the man, the operator reacts slightly late and jerks backward.

A small kitchen at night under a fluorescent tube, filmed from the hallway: a man smoking at the counter picks up a handgun, fires once into the dark room beside him, and turns back to the camera with his cigarette
The kitchen. 4 seconds.
A record store after closing: a man in black stands between the record bins and looks at the camera, there is a flash, and the camera drops down behind a bin of records
The record store. 4 seconds.
A man in a leather jacket stands in an old elevator under a dim light, raises a handgun toward the lens as the scratched metal doors slide shut, and the camera stays on the closed doors
The elevator. 4 seconds. The prompt aims the shot at an unseen target; in the clip he aims down the lens.
A draft: an empty diner at night with red booths and rain on the windows; a man sits in a far booth the whole clip and the camera swings once
A draft: the diner. The shootout the prompt describes never happens.
The kitchen (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT - 9:16

A tiny apartment kitchen at midnight.

Old refrigerator humming. Dirty dishes. Harsh overhead fluorescent tube.

A man stands at the kitchen counter smoking a cigarette.

The camera operator films him from the hallway.

Suddenly a loud gunshot comes from another room.

The man freezes.

He looks toward the doorway.

The camera operator takes a nervous step backward.

The man grabs a handgun from the counter and fires ONE shot toward the unseen room.

Huge muzzle flash.

The camera violently jerks upward.

Smoke briefly hangs in the kitchen.

The man slowly turns toward the camera.

He takes another drag from his cigarette.

An underground 1990s record store after closing.

Stacks of vinyl records. Posters on the walls. Fluorescent ceiling lights. Old stereo equipment.

A mysterious man in oversized black streetwear stands between the shelves.

The camera operator slowly approaches him.

He looks directly at the camera.

Suddenly someone off-screen fires a shot.

The camera snaps violently toward the sound.

The elevator (Seedance 2.5, with Handheld at Strong picked)
SEEDANCE 2.5 VIDEO PROMPT - 9:16

A brutal, raw underground crime-film moment captured on a cheap handheld consumer camera.

Inside a cramped old apartment-building elevator at night. Dirty mirrored walls, scratched metal doors, flickering fluorescent ceiling light.

A tough-looking man in a black leather jacket stands silently inside the elevator, staring straight ahead.

The camera operator is standing outside the elevator filming him.

Just as the doors begin closing, the man suddenly pulls a handgun and FIRES one shot toward an unseen target outside the frame.

The muzzle flash violently illuminates the tiny elevator.

The camera operator instinctively jerks backward and almost loses the framing.

The elevator doors slam shut.

The camera stays pointed at the doors for a beat.

Then slowly steps closer.

CUT.

Make it feel like illegal underground footage somebody accidentally recorded. Camera: aggressive handheld, the frame shaking and lurching with the action, quick reframes and an urgent run-and-gun feel.

Watch for this:Fiction, not instruction. The elevator prompt says it in one line: "The gunshot is sudden and shocking, not glorified. No instructional firearm handling. No visible injury or gore." The kitchen prompt adds No injury or gore after the CUT. Write those lines into every prompt with a weapon in it.

The six Shoot out clips came out of a session of seventeen Seedance 2.5 runs: the six kept, the second parking lot run, and ten runs of ideas that did not make it. One of those is the diner, last in the grid above: a diner at 2 AM where a gunshot outside should set off a shootout. The clip never gets there; the man sits in his booth the whole time and the camera swings once. Watch every take for the action you asked for before you judge anything else.

Score it and cut it into one video

House animals runs over one sound track laid in the edit. Shoot out has a score made in NOLGIA: a fast, dark early-90s boom-bap instrumental with a sparse piano riff and a few ad-libs, the same underground 90s world as the clips. In the cut, the score replaces the clips' own sound almost entirely.

The Shoot out score (Lyria 3.5)
Fast, underground early-90s hip-hop instrumental, around 100-106 BPM. Dark, mysterious, badass boom-bap energy. Hard dusty kick and snare, tight swung breakbeat, deep gritty bassline, raw vinyl texture, subtle tape hiss and analog saturation. Main musical element is a haunting, sparse minor-key piano riff - hypnotic, cold, memorable, with occasional chopped piano stabs and reversed piano textures.

Instrumental-focused arrangement with NO full rap verse and NO lead vocal. Only occasional short male hip-hop ad-libs used as rhythmic texture: “ayo,” “uh,” “yeah,” “yo,” “what,” “huh,” scattered naturally throughout the beat, sometimes distant or whispered, sometimes layered over drum hits. Keep the ad-libs sparse - they should feel like part of the production, not a song vocal.

Raw underground 90s New York feel, mysterious nighttime atmosphere, confident and intimidating, dusty sample-based production, imperfect human groove, gritty cassette/vinyl character. Minimal, hypnotic, fast-moving, hard-hitting. No modern trap, no singing, no full vocals, no polished pop production.

Open Audio from the Create menu, pick Music under What do you need?, choose Lyria 3.5, paste the prompt and press Generate audio. There is no length setting: this take came back at about two and a half minutes, and the cut uses 19.5 seconds of it from about 0:55. House animals runs 18 seconds at 9:16: the panther walking in, trimmed to 2.4 seconds, then the petting, the birthday party, the pool party and the hyena, about 4 seconds each, with the NOLGIA mark over the last 2. It lays a coarse grain over every clip, heavier than anything in the clips themselves, and one sound track under the whole cut in place of most of the clips' own sound.

Shoot out runs 19.5 seconds and cuts faster, from 1.5 to 4 seconds a shot: the parking lot, the helicopter, the record store, an old man in gold chains, the kitchen, the convenience store and the elevator, with the NOLGIA mark appearing on the closed elevator doors. The gold chains shot is not in the project, so its prompt is not here.

Both cuts were edited outside NOLGIA and uploaded to their projects. To cut one in NOLGIA:

  1. Open the project's Workspace and press New timeline, give it a name, set the frame size to Vertical 9:16 and press Create.
  2. In Project Media, add the clips in order: drag each onto the timeline, or hover it and press + to add it at the playhead.
  3. Trim each clip to the beat it is there for: drag a clip's edge with the Select tool, or set Mark In and Mark Out in the preview before you add it.
  4. To make the clips feel like one tape, select a clip, open Color in the inspector and pick a Film stock, such as Fuji Superia 400. The editor has no grain control, so grain goes in the prompt or in another editor.
  5. For sound, keep each clip's own, or put the score on its own track with Add audio track in the Audio group of the toolbar, set its Clip volume in the Audio inspector and add a Fade out at the end.
  6. Press Export video. The finished MP4 lands in your Library.

The audio guide covers music and sound effects on the timeline in more detail.

The rules

  • One strong idea per clip.
  • Keep the world around it ordinary.
  • Use natural human movement and real proportions.
  • Treat the camera as a physical object held by a person, and describe what it does.
  • Let texture support the realism, not stand in for it.
  • Put everything in the first frame, and repeat what the clip cannot get wrong.
  • Use deadpan reactions when the joke is that nobody reacts, and let the camera do the reacting.
  • Once the world and the action are clear, let Seedance 2.5 handle the movement.

The goal is not a perfectly cinematic shot. It is to make the viewer believe someone accidentally recorded something they were never supposed to see.

Questions and answers

Which models made these videos?
Every clip is Seedance 2.5, 720p and 9:16, with Audio On. The House animals and Shoot out clips are text only. The NOLGIA prompting host clips attach two character sheets and a background plate made with GPT Image 2.5 Flare. The Shoot out score is Lyria 3.5.
Are the people and animals real?
No. Everyone and everything in the clips was generated by Seedance 2.5 from the prompts in this guide. No photo or footage of a real person or animal went in.
Why are parts of the prompts in capitals?
They mark the lines the clip cannot get wrong: the size of the animal, what is already happening when the clip starts, that the man does not react, what must not happen. We have not tested whether the capitals themselves change the result; what changed between the drafts and the kept clips was saying those things outright.
Can the clips be longer than 4 seconds?
Yes, Seedance 2.5 makes clips of 4 to 30 seconds, and the NOLGIA prompting clips run 4 to 11. The duration chip sets the length, whatever the prompt says. Most clips here are short because each is one beat of a fast cut, and a longer clip needs more happening to fill it.
Can I set it in a different decade?
Yes. Name the decade with its camera, for example an early-1990s consumer camcorder or an early-2000s digital handycam, and keep the place, the clothes and the cars from the same years.
Do the clips come with sound?
With Audio On, Seedance 2.5 returns sound with the picture, and these prompts ask for it: growling, gunshots, an explosion clipping the microphone. Both finished cuts replace most of it with one track: House animals with a sound track laid in the edit, Shoot out with its Lyria 3.5 score.
